“We need to blast a hole in the cap. Do you want to try, Lorenzo? It’s super fun,” said Violet.

“Sure!” he replied.

Lorenzo walked over to the top of the bottle and aimed his laser at the cap.

BIZZAP!

“Done!” he shouted.

“Okay, now we have to stick the straws…” Violet’s voice trailed off. “Oh no! We went out of order!” she said, looking up at her friends. Violet’s head fell back. She slammed her palm to her forehead. “First, we put the straws inside the bottle through the cap, with the two balloons facing down inside the bottle. Then we stretch the balloon over the bottom.”

Dr. Crisp pulled two purple pom-poms out of her lab coat pockets. “It’s okay to make mistakes,” she cheered. “Magnificent Makers have what it takes!” She kicked one foot up to her hand and shook the pom-poms together.

Pablo folded his arms and tapped his foot. “Well, you two are big and strong. I’m sure you can fix it in no time.”

Violet sighed. “Come on, Lorenzo.” They struggled to remove the balloon. Eventually they got it off, and Pablo grabbed the Y-shaped straws with balloons attached. He walked inside the bottle and stuck the long end through the cap.
